Bonnet House

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Bonnet House wasonce the shared winter home of two artists' families, the Bartlett's and the Birch's. Buehler Planetarium and Observatory

Located on a beautiful tropical garden site at Broward Community College's Central Campus, the planetarium boasts a variety of shows, astronomical programs, a Zeiss M1015 star projector and a sophisticated computerized automation system. Shows are held on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Incorporating four turn of the century buildings: The New River Inn (1905), the Philemon Bryan Home (1905), the King-Cromartie House (1907), and a reconstruction of the settlement's first School House (1899), the Old Fort Lauderdale Village and Museum boasts one of Florida's most important collections of state and local history, illustrating the evolution of a typical South Florida community from the late 1890's through the 1920's.


Stranahan House

Former residence to Frank and Ivy Stranahan, this historic building wasonce a trading post, a restaurant, a post office and town hall, and is now a historical museum. Fully restored, the Stranahan House features early 1900's furnishings and paintings.


South Florida Museum of Natural History

Displaying bones from various reptiles and primates, the South Florida Museum of History allows people of all ages to explore artifacts and specimens of Natural History through tours, shows, some hands-on experimentation, and by special adventure projects.
